Colorado ~ Day 2

This morning we woke up extra early, since we were still on Michigan time. Rainah was up around 5:30am! We had breakfast and decided to drive out to the Royal Gorge to check that out before we met up with my parents and Sara at Pike's Peak. It was a beautiful drive, but once we got up there we found out we had to pay $23 per person to get in... it would have been neat to check out if we had more time, but we only had about an hour, so we didn't spend much time there.
Later we met up with Sara, mom, and dad, and took the Cog Rail up to Pikes Peak. It was another beautiful ride up the mountain (about an hour and a half), but it was COLD when we got to the top, and none of us felt too great (with the exception of Sara- born and bred in Colorado) due to the 14,000 foot altitude. When we got back down to the bottom we stopped for dinner and then went back to the hotel and crashed pretty early again. Rainah went with no naps and was great! You would have never even known it!
Here are some photos from the day:

Wow! I thought going to the top of Pike's Peak is really taxing due to lower oxygen or something. Well, you schooled me! If Rainah can do it than so can I!
