Long walk

Today Rainah and I decided to bundle up and take a nice walk to get the mail (our mailbox is ALL the way at the other end of our street). It was a sunny day and looked nice out, so I figured we'd get some fresh air. Rainah did a great job and made it almost all the way there and back (I did have to carry her the last few hundred feet), but she had a good time and it was SO nice to get outside. We can't wait for spring!!!!

The Bunny Train

This weekend we didn't have too much going on and it was very cold outside. This morning we decided to take Rainah on the Coopersville Marne Bunny Train... it's a train ride where the cars are decorated for Easter, there are songs, and the "Easter Bunny", a sheep, and a chick came in and danced around and sang with the kids. There was even a princess who came and read a few books to them. It was incredibly cheesy, but Rainah seemed to have fun, especially when they started singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". She even got a little stuffed bunny to bring home. Here are the highlights:

Butterflies

This morning Rainah and I went to Frederik Meijer Gardens to see the butterflies! We braved the heat and humidity (remember the episode of Friends where they went to an island and every time they cut to Monica, her hair got bigger and curlier?? - that was Rainah) but it was worth it. Rainah just liked the fact that she could walk around without being in the stroller (although she did want to be held alot, which makes taking pictures a bit hard!). We had fun, though, and hope to go back again soon!

Starting out (crazy, but pretty straight hair)

We don't know him... he was just one of many children who got a hug from Rainah

Not a good photo, but gives you an idea of the hair by the time we left

Rock n Roll Girl

At the tender age of 14 months, Rainah got to attend her very first concert! Justin's band, Fireflight played at Aquire the Fire in Grand Rapids, and we were put on the guest list! I made special shirts for the kids to all wear and they turned out pretty cool if I do say so myself! We got there around 11:15 and met up with Jessica and Mom. Jill, Dave, Hayden, and Talan arrived shortly after and we got to watch the band's sound check. The kids all had fun running around, "dancing", and watching all the lights. They had a few hours to kill before they played, so we went to lunch, and then hung out until they played. We got to sit in the VIP section and we all had an awesome time. The kids all danced and clapped and yelled and screamed. They all did great with such a long day and we had lots of fun too! As Hayden said, "Justin, your band is AWESOME!"
