Today a few of us from MOPS met up at the zoo to let the kids check out the animals and have a little fun. It was a little chilly, but no crowds, which is a good thing when you're trying to stay with a group and keep track of toddlers!
We had a good time seeing all the animals, eating lunch together, and playing at the park afterwards. Rainah barely made it home without falling asleep in the car.

Rainah "baaa-ing"; there was a sheep who was being VERY loud and the kids thought it was hilarious.
Today Don took the day off and we decided to take Rainah to the zoo since we can get in free this month with our Children's Museum membership. It's not a great zoo, but it was a beautiful day and it was free, so hey, why not? We also "found" a part of the zoo we had never been to, with a little petting farm, so that was cool. Rainah always likes the animals and had a great time.
First stop: flamingos
Some pelicans - they are HUGE!
Sucker time
We'd never stopped by to see the stingrays, because it's an extra $1, but since we got in free, Don splurged :)
Rainah loved petting them!

See that orange line? you can't go past it... and THAT'S where all the animals you can pet were! Except for a few goats. Anti-social animals!
Today we met up with some friends at John Ball Zoo to hang out for a little while. There is a new lion exhibit and I figured Rainah would love that, plus it would be fun to play with some other kids her age. Rainah had a great time and even got to go for a ride on a camel! Didn't quite compare to the Cheyenne Mountain zoo, but it was still lots of fun.

Cairey bought the kids some super cool suckers that they just loved! Rainah made quite a mess of hers... why do I even think about dressing her in white?

She tried picking this one up!
Cairey really wanted to ride the camel, but her son, Lucas wasn't too keen on the idea, so I loaned her Rainah, who is usually up for anything!
Jen and Will's turn
The new lion exhibit; there are two females and one male, but the male was hiding in his enclosure; apparently last nights storm spooked him
