Pumpkin Carving Time

This year I thought Rainah would be really into carving the pumpkin... well, she was into the CARVING, as long as she didn't have to touch anything slimy. I was shocked because she loves playing in dirt, sand, water, rocks, mud, woodchips... anything dirty. But apparently NOT pumpkin guts. So daddy scooped it out and Rainah helped me carve the face. She had fun for about ten minutes and then was off to do something else.
Later on we roasted the pumpkin seeds, which she wouldn't even try. But it was a fun little family project!

Wouldn't even touch the seed that fell on the ground... she had to scoop that up, too!

Pumpkin Carving

I thought this year would be lots of fun carving the pumpkin with Rainah; she's not one to shy away from doing things or getting messy, but she was NOT interested in sticking her hands inside of that thing. I tried a few times, but she preferred to sit next to me and eat her raisins. So Don and I completed the task! Maybe next year...
